What isn't there...
Here you will find
- Anecdotes and encounters, thoughtful, funny, sad
- Experiences that we were allowed to have here in Thailand

Once again an elephant made itself comfortable in a house near Hua Hin at the weekend. He was looking for something to eat in the garage and of course caused a great commotion in the process. Er wurde schliesslich von den Hausbewohnern mit Insektenspray wieder ausgeladen. _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3 b-136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_ _cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ Source: www.huahinexpats.com_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136_bad
Today we wanted to buy something banal like a mouse mat (mousepad). Off to the mall, checked out all the shops - everywhere "no hääp, madam". Then a shop, opposite the Hello Kitty toys we found a mouse pad :-)
The next fun is not long in coming: Ye-Soon needs a motorcycle helmet. Stupid - she's size S, which strangely isn't as popular in Thailand as you might think. But ONE helmet did fit:
So stupid that it almost hurts: We had a burst pipe in our house and the water was oozing up between the tiles in the entire living and kitchen area! The next day, the construction crew arrived and rattled away the tiles. What I saw then took my breath away - I've never seen anything like it! Hats off, you have to come up with such creative bungling!
the piece of waste that was messed with with the double bracket is already cheeky...but the fact that it was also flexed on the underside makes me shudder today...unfortunately we were the first tenants and were probably the first to turn on the water...
Oh no.. it is necessary that there is a mishap here!
We drive through Bangkok in a taxi... there is a sticker on the window with instructions on what to do
NOT allowed in this taxi. I was able to follow the first pictograms with stinky fruit, ice cream and Kalashnikov forbidden...
but what's with the buffalo? Am I not allowed to transport my buffalo by taxi? I find something wrong...
You can do this - but you don't have to!
If a beer transport by scooter tips over at the traffic light in Thailand because it is too heavy, road users and officials act quickly and prudently......
On Sundays you should rather go to the beach in Thailand...you're alone there. Thousands of Thais flock to the country's air-conditioned IKEAs and try them out. With food parcels, newspapers, PCs, children and grannies in tow, everything that cannot climb a tree is besieged. You have to experience that....take the escalator up and the first thing you see after entering the entrance is a family lying in the completely rumpled bed "Björndahl" and eating a bag of chips. That's how it goes on. We Europeans can still learn so much....we are absolutely thrilled! Luckily IKEA doesn't sell sanitary facilities.....
immer wieder Sonntags.... | Wo gehts denn hier zu den Betten? |
---|---|
Construction sites in Thailand are very different from what we are used to. With some adventurous trades you almost have to look the other way... here are a few impressions:
Due to the increased fuel prices in Germany, the Thail police are forced to organize alternative means of transport...
Speaking of which: Since September 2022, child seats have been compulsory in Thailand for all children under the age of 12 in the car. This is wonderful news for improving overall road safety.
